Project Training Methodology

INITIAL TRAINING FOR STUDENTS

Initial  training for students will be given for 2 days which aids in the basic electronic components identification and various device available in the laboratory.  Trained students will be allowed to work practical session lateron.

PRACTICAL ENVIRONMENT AND ASSEMBLING METHODOLOGY

In this session the students are allowed  to work in the laboratory. Basic assembling training will be given to them. Assembling methodologies like forming, scratching, bending, Soldering and  cutting etc. will be taught, and then they will be allowed to solder 100 to 200 nos of resistors in the  general purpose board. This session closes with regulated power supply assembling and testing in the PCB.

EXPOSURE TO STUDENTS ON VARIOUS TYPES OF SENSORS AND TRANSDUCERS AND ORCAD PRACTICE

Smoke Sensor, Vibration Sensor, Glass Breaking Sensor, Gas Leakage Sensor, Humidity Sensor, Flame sensor, Ultrasonic Sensor, Intruder double side sensor, Temperature sensor, E.C.G sensor, Respiratory sensor, Magnetic pick up, Proximity sensors, Level measurement capacitance sensor, Inductive types sensors and Heart beat sensors and transducers.

The students will also be given training on orcad which is a software tool used for designing PCB’s for a circuit.

INTRODUCTION TO EMBEDDED dsPIC,PIC MICROCONTROLLER AND PROGRAMMING IN HITECH ‘C’ and MPLAB C 30 Compiler

The students are then introduced to the basics of Microprocessor (8085), and Microcontroller. After this, the students will be given an intensive training on PIC embedded microcontoller. The students are allowed to work on the MPLAB simulator. The programming language used is hitech ‘C’.

This session ends up with the programming and testing the PIC microcontroller in the trainer kit.

HANDS ON VARIOUS TOPICS LIKE PLC’S VLSI AND DSP ICS

All the students can work with various topics like PLC, VLSI, DSP and SCADA.

INTERFACING TECHNIQUES AND CIRCUIT DESIGNING

Then the students are allowed to consider the parameter related to their project and were given ideas to how to take the parameter to the μc. (i.e.) the input circuit design. First they are allowed to assemble their input CKT for single parameter and test it with the trainer kit. After this successful testing they will be allowed to do the next parameter. In this session the students can freely discuss with our engineering guides about the circuit designing and testing.

Class will be taken also on interfacing techniques (i.e) about serial ports(RS 232), and parallel ports

PROGRAMMING VIA ISP FOR DSPIC

Dspic Ics have a ISP interface to make the programming more easier.  Students will be trained how to program a dsPIC IC via a ISP Interface for a control system.

FRONT END SOFTWARE DESIGNING

Then students were given compulsory training on how to use C language for getting data from the hardware

Then the students are allowed to discuss about the various advantages and disadvantages on various programming languages like C,VB,and JAVA, and they are allowed to select a Language which is more suitable for their project and were given training to develop the front end tool for their project.

FINAL TESTING & EXPLANATION

Finally the circuits assembled by the students is connected to the interfacing unit like computer and appropriate inputs were given to the hardware which is measured and displayed on the output screen. The explanation will be given to the students which will be extremely helpful for their viva voice and even for their Interviews.
